THE BIGGEST LOSER CHALLENGE

INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to the SEASON ONE of The Biggest Loser Challenge FPD Edition!

The hit TV show, The Biggest Loser, has inspired many offices and work groups to start their own versions of the competition to lose weight and get in shape.  The challenge is not about excessive weight loss, fad diets or extreme measures.  Research shows that the healthiest way to lose weight and maintain a healthy weight is to keep loss to at most 2-3 pounds a week.  The safest, most effective way to do this is to exercise, increase the amount of fruits and vegetables and reduce the portions of the other foods you eat.  This season’s challenge will only run for 8 weeks.  By this time frame, participants will already have enough time to develop lasting habits, and lose weight in a slow, steady manner.

Good luck to all the participants!

GOAL:

The individual’s goal is to “lose the highest percentage of weight” over 8 weeks to become The Biggest Loser.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

  • To promote health and wellness among employees of the FPD Group of Companies

OBJECTIVES:

  • To encourage the employees to gain healthy wellness and lose unhealthy habits as they participate in the challenge

  • Awarding will be done on FPD Asia’s Family Day program (venue and date to be announced later).

COMPUTATION FORMULA:

Initial weigh-in weight – Final weigh-in weight = Lost weight in pounds
Lost weight in pounds / Initial weigh-in weight = % of Weight Lost

example:

Initital weigh-in weight is 228 lbs.
Final weigh-in weight is 212 lbs.
Total lost weight is 16 lbs.
16 / 228 lbs. = 7.02%

The total cash prize that will be divided equally between the male and female winners is composed of the total amount of the registration (pot money) plus 200% of the pot money will be courtesy of the company.
